With the addition of Black Widow, Cloak and Dagger, Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl, and Wolverine, the total number of characters in Marvel Rivals will reach 30 superheroes/villains – including other iconic characters like Iron Man, Groot, Scarlet Witch, and many more.
If you didn’t know, Marvel Rivals is an upcoming team-based PvP shooting game for PC, set to be released for free with support from the Chinese publishing giant NetEase. Described as a 'dynamic, fast-paced cooperative experience,' Marvel Rivals will have 6-player teams battling each other in destructible environments, featuring characters from across the Marvel universe. Jay Ong, head of Marvel Games, stated that Marvel Rivals is one of the team's most ambitious game development projects and a product they have 'poured their heart and soul into.'
After successful Closed Beta sessions this past summer, Marvel Rivals is gradually becoming one of the most anticipated multiplayer games of 2024. Even during the Beta, many players joined the world of Marvel Rivals to embody legendary superheroes and villains, including Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Magneto, Loki, Venom, and more. However, the recent test only featured two playable maps: Tokyo 2099 and Yggdrasil.
