Mauricio set the record straight on affair rumors when he and PK Kemsley sat for Bravo's Hot Mic Podcast.
The rumor mills have been cranking since Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley separated from their husbands, Mauricio Umansky and Paul "PK" Kemsley, respectively, but one Househusband just colorfully set the record straight on Bravo’s Hot Mic Podcast.
Good friends Mau and PK left no stone unturned on Season 3, Episode 5 of the network’s official podcast with Bravo producer Alex Baskin. Amid rumors swirling on Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Mauricio addressed whispers that he and Dorit had something romantic going on and suggestions that texts between PK and his estranged wife were something more than casual.
Mauricio addresses Dorit romance rumors
“The s--t that comes out that’s so not true is so crazy,” said Mauricio. “The whole issue with [PK] and Kyle texting, like who gives a s--t? You guys are friends. The whole thing with me and Dorit having a thing, like, that’s so f---ing stupid.”
In case you missed it, there has been speculation Dorit and Mauricio had a romantic connection since Kyle and Mauricio separated in 2023 after 27 years of marriage, with Dorit and PK announcing their split earlier this year. Following the RHOBH Season 14 premiere, Dorit appeared on the November 19 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to quash the Mauricio rumor, stating it was “beyond” stupid and “so ridiculous.”
One week earlier, Kyle touched on the theory when asked by reporters if her reason for texting PK in the Season 14 trailer was because she was attracted to him.
"No! Oh my God," Kyle said. "The funny thing is there had been rumors about Dorit and Mauricio, which were stupid and ridiculous, but no ... I was just at my wit’s end. I was like, 'I cannot.' That's where I draw the line — are you implying that I'm doing something not appropriate with PK?"
Kyle has consistently extinguished hot and fiery rumors, more recently in the December 17 WWHL episode when asked about PK still texting her.
"The PK thing is silly," Kyle told the WWHL host. "Obviously, there's nothing weird with PK and I. I mean, PK's like — no offense, he's one of the girls. And he would own up to that, by the way."
While all seems well in Mauricio and PK’s “bromance,” as noted in the Hot Mic episode, things continue to be rocky for Kyle and Dorit as the current season of RHOBH continues.
Will Mauricio and Kyle get back together?
On Bravo’s Hot Mic Podcast, Mauricio maintained that after 30 years together, he and Kyle remained best friends.
“I mean, we are so lucky to have the relationship that we have; we have yet to file for divorce,” he said. “Neither she nor I have talked about anything at this point in terms of reconciliation or whatever that looks like. I think we’re both just allowing time to pass without doing anything. The way I’m seeing it is that everything will just happen naturally, whenever it’s meant to be or however it’s meant to be.”
He said he’s enjoying the alone time, citing the many forces that have kept him and Kyle in each other’s lives. Two “super important” items include their youngest, Portia Umansky, still living at home and the upcoming wedding of their eldest, Alexia Umansky.
“The fact that we are still best friends and great friends and have an amazing relationship while we go through this thing will be fun in some ways,” he said.
