The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umansky has had an interesting time the last few months. Not only has he been linked to multiple women following his split from Kyle Richards, but he also got into a skiing accident that left him with a broken clavicle. Now, he’s providing an update on his healing journey.
Mauricio has also been embroiled in a bit of family drama as of late. He and his sister, Sharon Umansky Benton, are trying to get a restraining order put in place for their father, Eduardo Umansky, against Simin Tabibnia, whom he dated for many years. They allege that their father has been a victim of abuse and that the woman also kept him from seeing them.
Mauricio recently took to his official Instagram page to post a video of himself in the gym following his injury. He captioned the post, “Working hard at getting the shoulder strong again. 9 weeks since my accident. Let’s Gooooo.” In the video, fans can see Mauricio perform several different workouts, using dumbbells and other gym equipment. He seems to be in solid form to the point that those who were unaware of his accident wouldn’t know he’d had health struggles in recent months.
Multiple people commented, but one comment that stood out came from his daughter, Alexia Umansky, who said, “I love it.”
As mentioned, the health update isn’t the only news regarding Mauricio. The latest in Mauricio and Sharon’s battle to have a restraining order put in place is that Mauricio is set to testify. According to In Touch Weekly, Sharon’s list of people to testify includes the RHOBH star. If granted, the restraining order would bar Simin from coming near Sharon or their father, who is 81.
Of course, Sharon will also testify, as reports say her and Mauricio’s testimonies will last about 20 minutes. Notably, they are both co-conservators for their father. Regarding the woman being abused, Sharon alleged in court documents, “Around 10 years ago were the first signs of threats and abuse, but it was difficult to understand exactly what was happening. Around August or September 2022, things began to escalate.”
The docs continue, “My father started having bloody arms and bruises. She would hurt him, when he would grab her arms, she would bruise and then threaten to send him to jail for abuse. As his daughter, I am trying to protect him from living out the rest of his life under duress.”
They then say, “We have known about some of the abuse including verbal threats, sexual manipulation, physical violence and filed a police report but my father is a battered boyfriend and has early signs of dementia and refused to press charges for fear of the threats that Simin has posed on him for many years.”
However, Simin has said that Eduardo has continued to call her despite the family drama, and she has denied the allegations. Additionally, she has accused him of abuse. According to her, “During [the relationship], I endured ongoing physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. I now fear for my safety due to [Eduardo’s] actions. She also said his “violent outbursts appear to be triggered by alcohol consumption and interactions with his family.”
Simin continued, “These incidents have left me not only physically injured but also emotionally injured.”
She then said in the docs, “[Eduardo] has been relentlessly harassing me, calling me and texting me over 100 times since the restraining order was filed, and often, and multiple times a day. These calls are continuous and persistent, with the most recent calls occurring on December 4, 2024.”
This is a developing story.
