Bachelor Nation fans saw Gerry Turner look for love on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor,” and last night at Hulu’s Get Real event, Jesse Palmer announced that the beloved show is returning for a second season.
Not only did the Bachelor Nation host announce a second season but he revealed the new Golden Bachelor!
Jesse shared that 66-year-old former NFL player-turned-lawyer Mel Owens is our new leading man.
Mel’s life has taken many unexpected turns, one of which was the end of his marriage, but he channeled his energy into being the best dad he could be.
Now, after several years as a devoted father, he is ready to rediscover a love rooted in the simple joys of companionship.
In his conversation with Jesse, Mel shared what he’s looking for in a partner saying, “I want someone who is honest, charming, loving, fit, and someone full of life. I was married for 25 years and I miss that companionship. I am looking for that.”
And Bachelor Nation has been reacting to the news with excitement since the announcement was made.
