It’s been several months since The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been on our screens. Normally, the cast would have been filming by now, and fans would have been waiting for a new season to begin airing soon. It seems the cast is also up in arms about the lack of information regarding season 15 of the iconic show. Now, Melissa Gorga is speaking out and saying the network might lose everyone if they wait too long.
As fans know, season 14 of RHONJ wasn’t the greatest. Sure, there have been worse seasons of Housewives, but things got so bad that there wasn’t even a reunion. Initially, it was said that Bravo would begin making casting decisions in 2025. However, recent comments from Andy Cohen paint a much more bleak picture of how long fans must wait.
According to Entertainment Now, Melissa recently interviewed with Entertainment Tonight. Of course, they asked her about Andy’s comments about no news before 2026. She responded, “Oh my God, why? I just heard that. Why? That’s a really long time. Even if I’m a part of it or not a part, that’s a really long time.”
She went on to say that waiting too long could also hurt the network. Melissa explained, “We have to have news before then. I think he would lose everyone [if they were in limbo for that long]. Everyone would be like… unless they were fully recasting so need that much time to figure that out. Which I don’t know, I feel like they need to keep a couple of familiar faces, if you ask me.”
Regarding what she believes will happen, Melissa said, “I can see it going so many different ways.” She also said that she has “zero” insight into where the producers are in making decisions.
In other RHONJ news, an insider recently spoke to InTouch Weekly about how the cast is handling the lack of news regarding season 15. The person told the outlet, “There is a little bit of panic across the board because they haven’t been told anything yet.”
The insider went on, “There’s absolutely no news. Bravo has been quiet for months and everyone is still waiting to hear if their contract is going to be renewed or not. For the time being, the cast is keeping busy with their own individual projects and doing what they can until they find out if they’re returning.”
The source then said that there won’t be word on if the show will get a full reboot for a while. Apparently, Bravo doesn’t want anything to leak, so they’re not giving the cast any information.
Naturally, Melissa and her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, are huge factors that contributed to the long pause. An insider also told the outlet, “Melissa and Teresa won’t be on the show together if they do decide to bring some or all of the cast back. Teresa has made that clear, especially after she refused to do that [Deadpool] commercial with her.”
The insider continued, “Their relationship hasn’t changed. They don’t communicate with one another and are completely estranged at this point.”
