Melissa Gorga says Real Housewives has turned ‘dark and toxic’ and blames one key contributor

Melissa Gorga is admitting The Real Housewives of New Jersey has become “dark and toxic”. She blames social media as one factor surrounding the Bravo show in this new era and is demanding a cast shake-up.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is known for its friendships, romances, but most of all, its feuds. Melissa Gorga doesn’t see eye-to-eye with Teresa Giudice, and now wants new co-star BFFs.

Melissa Gorga says RHONJ is ‘toxic’

Melissa calls RHONJ as “dark and toxic” in an Entertainment Tonight interview. Her co-star, Jackie Goldschneider, agreed and told OK! Magazine just days before how social media is a contributing factor.

She said, “I think social media and the way we talk about each other and everything surrounding this show has gotten so dark and toxic. I can’t complain about that if I’m contributing to it.”

After Bravo canceled the RHONJ reunion, Melissa “agrees 100 percent” that there “needs to be changes”. She added, “There’s two of my cast members that have played really dirty behind the scenes.”

Melissa is now demanding new BFFs on-screen as she slammed her co-stars for “dirty” tactics. She revealed, “It’s coming out. It’s all coming out because it always rises to the top, it comes out in laundry.”

“It’s been years, so it’s all coming forward,” she added. Following seasons of familial troubles, Gorga has not shared any screen time with her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, during this season’s aired episodes.

When the reunion was canceled due to dramatic events of the season finale, fans became convinced the cast would be switched up. Giudice hinted to ABC they’re “doing something” instead of the reunion.
