Saginaw Spirit Memorial Cup Champions Owen Beck, Rodwin Dionicio, and Andrew Oke received new HUT Headliner cards in NHL 24
Three members from the Memorial Cup champion team Saginaw Spirit received new 96 overall HUT Headliner cards in NHL 24 Hockey Ultimate Team.
Montreal Canadiens prospect Owen Beck recently won the 2024 Memorial Cup tournament with the OHL's Saginaw Spirit. They scored with 17 seconds left to defeat the London Knights and bring the franchise its first Memorial Cup Trophy. Beck also took home Memorial Cup MVP, collecting four goals (two in the final game), five points, and went 69% on faceoffs.

Somehow his new HUT card doesn’t have 99 faceoffs. Beck is a faceoff specialist. He’s been one of the most consistent players on faceoffs in the CHL for the last three seasons. The abilities EA gave him for his new card are Make It Snappy (zone ability), Elite Edges, Tape to Tape, Puck on a String, and Unstoppable Force. There is no reason for him to not have Quick Draw in my opinion.
Although he is only six feet and 190 pounds in the game, Beck’s card is top-tier with 99 skating stats and 99 wrist shot accuracy and power. If you’re building an OHL theme team in Hockey Ultimate Team, you’ll want to get your hands on this bad boy.
Anaheim Ducks prospect Rodwin Dionicio’s performance in the semifinals for Saginaw against Moose Jaw elevated EA’s decision to give him his new card. He had a goal, three assists, seven shots, and was a plus-5 in that semifinal match.
Dionicio has good size with him being listed at 6-foot-2 and 203 pounds in the game. His card has the perfect trio of abilities for a defenseman in NHL 24 with Heatseeker (zone ability), Shutdown, and Elite Edges. He’s a two-way defenseman so overall his attributes are balanced out across the board.
Andrew Oke started every game for the Spirit and posted a 2.82 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage. Oke getting a card is a bit surprising as he wasn’t a top performer for his team, and other players from Saginaw like Josh Bloom (who led them in points with six) or Zayne Parekh probably deserved this upgrade more.
These three new cards are available in packs until this Friday, Jun. 7.
