NFL Draft Analyst Matt Miller breaks down the New Orleans Saints’ first round options
NEW ORLEANS — As of right now, the New Orleans Saints hold the ninth overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Several NFL Draft analysts like Mel Kiper Jr. suggest the black and gold could select a quarterback on the opening night of the draft.
Kiper’s recent mock drafts had the Saints selecting Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders with the ninth pick.
Analysts like Matt Miller believe the Saints could avoid a quarterback in the first round and beef up their roster by taking the best player available in their first draft with Kellen Moore as head coach.
“Over-drafting a quarterback, I think, is more dangerous than waiting to draft your quarterback,” said ESPN NFL Draft Analyst and Insider Matt Miller.
Miller broke down all of the New Orleans Saints’ first-round options in the WGNO Sports Zone.
The 2025 NFL Draft will run April 24-26 on WGNO and ABC affiliates.
