The Arizona Cardinals took care of business in Week 10 and picked up the win over the New York Jets in blowout fashion, 31-6, to improve to 6-4.
With the team on bye this week, they are getting to soak in this win and the fact that they are alone atop the NFC West rankings for a bit longer than usual. But the NFL gave one young Cardinals player some bad news during his week off.
Cardinals CB Kei'Trel Clark fined by NFL for a play where no flag was thrown during their Week 10 win over the Jets
The NFL fined Cardinals cornerback Kei'Trel Clark $5,373.00 for a blindside block they considered "Unnecessary Roughness." This play occurred with 4:16 left in the second quarter, and oddly enough, no flags were thrown on it. So, the NFL clearly disagrees with the game's officiating crew's decision not to throw a flag.
There were 27 total fines handed out from the NFL during the Week 10 slate of games. Clark's $5,373.00 fine was the second cheapest, Keondre Coburn of the Tennessee Titans' $5,083.00 fine being the only one cheaper. Receiving this fine definitely dampened what is supposed to be a week of relaxation for Clark. So, hopefully, he can put this behind him and be ready to go when the Cardinals return to action in Week 12 against their divisional rivals, the Seattle Seahawks.
