When you think of the best quarterback to play for the Carolina Panthers, the first name that comes to mind is usually Cam Newton. Newton was able to win the MVP of the league and lead his team to play in the Super Bowl after a historically great season by a team. Newton released a message on his talk show that has fans sad for the former star quarterback.

Newton revealed that he feels like he has been forgotten and erased by his former team and that it hurts him. He said that there were no pictures of him inside the stadium despite being one of the biggest icons of that franchise.

He revealed that during a seven-on-seven tournament at the Panthers’ stadium, his son asked him why there were no pictures of him anywhere in the facility. Newton said that he has no bad relations with anyone from the team or organization, so Carolina not honoring him in any way has hurt him.
Newton amounted to 32,382 passing yards and 194 touchdowns in his career and came close to bringing a Lombardi Trophy back to Carolina in 2015. He also won the MVP award that year after putting up 3,837 yards and 35 touchdowns during the season where the team finished 15-1, which is one of the best seasons in NFL history.
Despite not being honored by the team, many fans came to his defense and gave the former quarterback his deserved praise for his great career.
