Norman Reedus ‘arrested’ by the Spanish Civil Guard in Zaragoza during the filming of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’

The production of the famous zombie series travels to Lower Aragon to film in several locations as part of its passage through Spain.

Norman Reedus arrested by the Spanish Civil Guard? The photo has gone viral in the last few hours with more than 10,000 views on the official account of the National Security Force, where we can see the famous protagonist of ‘The Walking Dead’ in a handcuffed pose in front of a patrol car. But no, it is not a real arrest or one of those publications in the form of a hoax in which we see a famous arrested. It is a nice picture from the set of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ after its passage through the Lower Aragon, where the production has completed several days of shooting in different Spanish locations.

Thus, the official publication of the Spanish Civil Guard clarifies that the actor has not been arrested, but it is a relaxed image of a filming set in which an endowment of the Spanish Civil Guard has participated in security work, in addition to providing a unit of the anti-drone team of the Reserve and Security Group of Zaragoza (GRS 5), which were responsible for guarding the area of possible intrusions.

In a publication of the account of the Civil Guard of Zaragoza reads: “NO, we have not arrested the actor Norman Reedus, who gives life to the character of Daryl ‘The Walking Dead’. Several locations in Lower Aragon have served as locations for the filming of the third season of the sequel to the series”.

For the filming of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ in Lower Aragon, a team led by Spanish director Paco Cabezas was formed of more than 350 people who worked simultaneously in different areas of the old town of Belchite, in the province of Zaragoza, a city famous for the ruins that remain from the devastation caused by the Spanish Civil War.

Belchite has served as the setting for several film productions, from Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ to ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home,’ which pitted Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury against a monstrous foe alongside Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio. The third season of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2025, most likely in fall.
