Oilers media fires shot at the Canucks and Dakota Joshua

The rivalry between the Canucks and Oilers was already pretty harsh, but things went to a whole new level when the two Canadian franchises played one another during this year's second round.

Even though the Canucks have been out of the playoff portrait for a much longer period of time, the two team's media and fans have been taking shot at each other ever since and there doesn't seem to be a point at which it will stop.

The Canucks had lots of money to spend before they went to free agency, and some of that money was allocated to the re-signing of Dakota Joshua who earned himself an important raise. The winger went from an entry level deal to a four year deal carrying a $3.25M cap hit. A well deserved pay raise for the Canucks' biggest bloomer, who played in the Oilers' head so much that the media have now begun taken shots at him and his contract. Tyler Yaremchuk went as far as proclaiming that Joshua's contract would be bought out before the end of it:

Joshua will have plenty of detractors to prove wrong this year as he'll be looking to increase the career highs he set for himself during the 2023-2024 campaign. Will he score more then 18 goals this season?
