The Carolina Panthers are becoming a tough out for anyone in the NFL.
While QB Bryce Young has passed for 263 and 298 yards (season highs) during the Panthers' last two games, RB Chuba Hubbard has been consistent all season.
That continued on Sunday when Hubbard scored on a one-yard rush TD that gave the Panthers a 16-14 lead late in the third quarter.
The TD run put Hubbard over 1,000 rush yards this season. Coming into Week 14, only four players had rushed for more than 1,000 yards this season, according to NFL.com. Hubbard now becomes the fifth player on that list of star players.
Since Week 3, Hubbard has rushed for 90 or more yards five times and scored nine TDs (one receiving).
After losing five games in a row, Carolina has split its last four games, with both losses coming by one score to the Kansas City Chiefs, 30-27, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 26-23.
The Panthers (3-9) continue to show signs of improvement despite a miserable start to the season. Hubbard's career year has played a major role in the team's uptick in performance.
