Evgeni Malkin is set to play in his 20th season with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2025-26. The 38-year-old forward will forever be recognized as one of the greatest Penguins players in franchise history when looking at how excellent of a career he has had.
In 1,213 career games with the Penguins, Malkin has recorded 514 goals, 832 assists, and a plus-28 rating. He has won the Art Ross Trophy (2009 and 2012), Hart Memorial Trophy, Conn Smythe Trophy, and Ted Lindsay Award. He was also a major reason for the Penguins' third three Stanley Cup championships since 2009 and has appeared in seven All-Star Games.
Now, heading into 2025-26, Malkin has a real chance of hitting another significant career milestone. The longtime Penguin is 54 points away from hitting the 1,400-point mark for his career.
During this past season with the Penguins, Malkin recorded 16 goals, 34 assists, and 50 points in 68 games. With this, he certainly could hit the 1,400-point milestone if he stays healthier next season and maintains his solid offensive play. It will be fascinating to see if he can do just that from here.
