Pete Davidson called fatherhood his ‘dream’ role before girlfriend Elsie Hewitt’s pregnancy announcement

Three years before Elsie Hewitt announced she was pregnant with his child, Pete Davidson said fatherhood would be his “dream” role.

“[I’m] definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever — which I’ve yet to achieve — is I want to have a kid,” Davidson told Kevin Hart during a 2022 interview on Peacock’s “Hart to Heart,” adding “that’s like my dream.”

Joking that he knows it’s “super corny,” the “Saturday Night Live” alum mused on how it would be “so fun to dress up a little dude.”

“I’m so excited for that chapter,” he gushed, explaining that fatherhood is what he’s “preparing for now.”

The “King of Staten Island” star, 31, said he was trying to “develop and get better, so when that happens it’ll be easier.”

The “Bupkis” star’s father, New York City firefighter Scott, died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center when Pete was 7 years old.

Hewitt, 29, took to her Instagram account on Wednesday to share the couple’s happy news with a carousel of photos and videos — including a video of her having a sonogram.

The ultrasound images could be seen on a screen above as the model beamed.

“welp now everyone knows we had sex,” Hewitt captioned the celebratory post, which also included several photos of the couple snuggling up for some PDA.

The first photo showed the comedian and model cradling her stomach, as Davidson nuzzled her forehead.

Page Six hears that baby Davidson is due to arrive early this winter.

“She came to the show in Newark in June,” an insider told Page Six. “He’s never had a girlfriend come to his stand-up show.”

A separate source told us that “Pete is so excited for this next chapter,” and added that “his family is thrilled and can’t wait to become grandparents, aunts, etc.”

Hewitt and Davidson first took their relationship public in March with a PDA-filled vacation in Palm Beach, Fla.

Hewitt later took to Instagram Stories to make it social media official with a brief video clip of Davidson in a white bathrobe.
