Phaedra Parks Says ‘RHOA’ Cast Shake Up Was a Good Thing: “I Think People are Really Going to Enjoy it”

Phaedra Parks is officially back in the mix for Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and she’s excited about her return.

In a recent interview with PageSix, the Southern Belle made it clear that this season is going to be one for the books.

“We’ve got some new ladies that are just firecrackers,” Phaedra teased. “They shook up the cast, but it’s definitely … it’s a good thing, it’s a good thing! I think people are really going to enjoy it.”

Phaedra isn’t the only familiar face making a return. Fans can expect to see her back with her besties Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey. And, in classic Phaedra style, she had a fun way of describing the reunion: “I mean, the gumbo is gumbo-ing again,” she laughed. “So the Titanic, honey, it’s the love boat now. It’s coming back up.”

In addition to Phaedra, Porsha, and Cynthia, the new season introduces some fresh faces: Kelli Ferrell, Brittany Eady, and Angela Oakley are stepping up as full-time cast members. Plus, Shamea Morton Mwangi, who was previously a “friend,” is getting even more screen time this season.

While Bravo has yet to announce the official premiere date, it’s safe to say the drama and shade are about to be on full display.
