Just days before entering the castle for The Traitors Season 4, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams met on a video conference with Simon Guobadia and a team of lawyers. After months of bitter feuding, the two have officially settled their divorce. Now, she’s opening up about what it means to close this messy chapter of her life. Finally.
Porsha Williams’ divorce from Simon Guobadia is complete

Porsha opened up about her divorce in a tell-all interview with People. For some odd reason, they tried to compare what Porsha went through to Angela Bassett’s character in Waiting to Exhale. We don’t remember that movie having a storyline about falling in love with a freshly divorced criminal, but sure. More power to Porsha!
The RHOA star filed a petition for divorce on February 22, 2024, just 15 months after tying the knot in multiple, globetrotting wedding ceremonies. The announcement came right around the same time that Simon’s immigration troubles came to the spotlight and just days after Porsha confirmed her return to Bravo.
Since then, they’ve gone back and forth in court over whether or not to enforce their prenup. Simon argued that Porsha’s return to RHOA changes the circumstances of their agreement. A judge determined that their prenup should be enforced, marking a win for Porsha. Simon must pay her spousal support and a lump sum payment. Plus, she got the green light to stay in their marital home for 36 months.
“In my past, I was really naive and gave up everything to be married. But this time I came in as a businesswoman, a person who had built a substantial financial portfolio,” Porsha said.. “I did a prenup. I was responsible. So in a way, that due diligence made it a softer landing to walk away.”
Meanwhile, Simon has been deported back to his home country of Nigeria after a decades-long fight to obtain citizenship in the United States. In a separate interview, he opened up about the grueling four months he spent in an ICE detention center. Porsha called the turn of events “unfortunate.” However, she’s looking forward to putting this behind her.
“I feel relieved,” Porsha admitted. “I think the feeling was mutual for me and him. We were both ready to close this chapter and move forward with real life.”
