The upcoming Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is giving fans hope. Several cast members, including Kandi Burruss, Marlo Hampton, and Sheree Whitfield left. After another underwhelming season, viewers are hoping that the cast shake-up will reinvigorate the franchise. Plus, Porsha Williams returned to reclaim her peach. After Kenya Moore decided to exit while the season was filming, Phaedra Parks finally made her grand entrance.
As you may recall, Kenya allegedly showed sexually explicit images of co-star Brittany Eady at her business launch. She decided to walk away from the show after she was suspended. “I’m still in contact with Kenya and I’m still hopeful that she can work it out with the cast and with the network and find a way forward,” Porsha told Deadline. “I was really excited for the audience to see our growth because out of everything, it was super genuine. It was [very much] Big Sis, Little Sis energy that anybody would be able to relate to.”
So, once Kenya left, Phaedra reported for duty. And Frick and Frack were back! “It’s good because it’s always good energy. It’s always fun, it’s light-hearted,” Porsha said of Phaedra’s return. “As dark as life can be sometimes, you need to have that light, and Frick and Frack is always going to bring the good times. I just love that she’s back.”
And according to Porsha, their friendship is the real deal. “The thing about Frick and Frack is, we have the type of friendship where we don’t have to talk [to each other] every day, and we definitely haven’t filmed together in some years,” Porsha stated, “but when I tell you, it’s like a day hasn’t been lost. And [she’s] the type of friend that you know the friendship is real – we’re locked in.”
Of course, Porsha has been dealing with some tough times in her life. She is in the process of a contentious divorce from her husband, Simon Guobadia. Besides that, Porsha is enjoying being a mom to her five-year-old daughter, Pilar Jhena McKinley.
Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 will air on Bravo in early 2025.
