For whatever reason, Kenya viewed her standing as Miss USA as higher than that of Miss America and took Porsha's mistake as a personal attack rather than a mistake. While it's possible Porsha made the comment on purpose, it could also have just as easily been an accident.
Porsha and Kenya's relationship was problematic from the start, with the two constantly attempting to outshine each other.
From that moment on, it seemed that Kenya was always trying to outshine Porsha and get back at her for the mistake. In an iconic The Real Housewives of Atlanta moment, Porsha opened up old wounds with Kenya, which sparked an argument. After Porsha called Kenya "ghetto," the argument intensified. Kenya provoked Porsha repeatedly during The Real Housewives of Atlanta seasons 5 and 6, but their feud became infamously explosive during the season 6 reunion. Kenya, using the megaphone, called Porsha a "dumb ho," which was the last straw for Porsha. In response, she stood up and lunged at Kenya, grabbing her hair and pulling her to the ground. The attack shocked the cast and crew, and the reunion had to be paused as Porsha was escorted off set by security. Following the incident, Porsha regretted the hair-pulling but also felt Kenya had pushed her too far.
As a result of the fight, Porsha was briefly taken into police custody and charged with misdemeanor battery. Arguably, Kenya was in the wrong because she taunted and bullied Porsha, egging her on. Unfortunately for Porsha, the incident caused her demotion on Real Housewives of Atlanta. In season 7, Porsha became a "friend of" the Housewives, while Kenya remained a full-time cast member. However, Porsha returned as a main cast member in season 7 and beyond.

Their Animosity Escalated
Unsurprisingly, Porsha and Kenya's dislike for each other intensified after the explosive The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 6 reunion. The two had undoubtedly clashed over various issues, but the reunion brought their animosity to a head. The situation escalated when Kenya accused Porsha of cheating on her ex-husband, Kordell, and said that Porsha was his "beard," insinuating that Kordell was gay.
The fight that ensued solidified Porsha and Kenya's hatred. After the reunion, Porsha and Kenya's relationship remained strained, with both continuing to take jabs at each other in the media and social media. Porsha's demotion gave them some of the space they needed to heal, but the animosity was still palpable between the pair.

Porsha left at the end of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13 but will return for the next installment of the hit Bravo series. Since making up in season 12, Porsha and Kenya have largely buried the hatchet and moved on in their relationship. Kenya was fired from RHOA season 16, so fans will likely not see this duo's new friendship unfold.
While it seemed that Kenya and Porsha's relationship had no hope after the intense bullying, misunderstanding, and attacks from Real Housewives of Atlanta seasons 5 and 6, the two are a testament to the power of humility and growth.
