General Hospital recaps for Wednesday, July 30 reveal Laura Collins (Genie Francis) counsels Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Maxie Jones (temporarily Nicole Paggi) catch up.
Also, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) sees things more clearly while Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) tries to reason with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
Laura Counsels Rocco
Rocco goes to Laura’s office-he asks her for help regarding his parents and mentions that he has been in touch with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati).
Laura is shocked-the kid likes her, thinks she’s quirky, and says that when he was with Liesl, his parents reacted negatively.
Laura clarifies that their connection with Liesl is complex; Rocco still wants to meet with Liesl and is unsure how his parents will react.
They talk about Liesl’s history, and Laura feels that people can change; Liesl appears to have changed, but Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) wasn’t there to witness it. He shares a childhood story with his grandma that she had never heard before, and Laura encourages him to share it with his parents; it might be beneficial.
Brook Lynn And Maxie Catch Up, Lulu Interrupts And They Clash
At the Metro Court pool, Brook Lynn tells Maxie that she never intended for Rocco to see the file regarding Britt; Maxie informs her that Liesl is back.
Lulu interrupts and puts the blame on BLQ; they revisit their argument, and Lulu lashes out about her involving liars and criminals in her son’s life.
BLQ reminds her that she didn’t reveal anything to him and argues that they should have been honest with their son-she holds Lulu responsible for this situation.
Maxie urges them to cease the accusation, she believes it’s normal for Rocco and Liesl to want to see each other. All Lulu perceives is that she took away 7 months of her child’s life- Lulu receives a call from Laura and agrees to visit; she leaves.
Kai Catches Up With Joss While Ric Meets With Nina
Nearby, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) notices Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), who expresses her anger towards him, suggesting that he might now realize that choosing Drew over Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was a mistake.
Kai insists that he prioritized his principles above all else; Joss retorts that he can keep his principles and Drew, but he won’t have anyone else. At the tables, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) inquires why Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) wanted to meet with him.
She requests Ric’s assistance in helping Willow gain custody of the children. Nina asks him to remain silent about her involvement; he reminds her that her secrets are what got them into this situation, so Nina will take that into account.
Trina Visits Curtis And They Talk About Kai And Drew
Trina stops by Curtis’s office, after getting a message from him to come by. She finds out that Willow has broken things off with Drew after discovering that Nina had an affair with him; both of them feel sympathetic for everyone caught in this situation.
Curtis encourages her to have a conversation with Kai to see if he feels any remorse about Drew-however, Trina has moved on; the trust is completely lost. Curtis attempts to clarify that in Kai’s perspective, he acted rightly; he advises her against severing ties and to think about the possibility of forgiveness.
Willow Sees Things More Clearly
Willow walks down the stairs at Elizabeth’s house; after a good sleep, she sees things more clearly. She realizes that going to Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) was a mistake, just like her relationship with Drew.
Liz asks her to stay for a bit, and they talk about how Nina was about to confess-Willow confesses it feels like a repeat of Shiloh and Harmony.
She promised herself she wouldn’t let others control her life, but here she is again; she wishes she had recognized the signs when Drew was chasing her.
“That’s called love bombing,” Liz explains-Willow understands that she allowed Drew to ruin everything; Nina stops by with some clothes for Willow, and Liz gives them some space.
Willow And Nina Talk
Nina starts to cry and admits that she understands how tough things are; Willow describes Nina’s actions as repulsive-Nina expresses her love and support for Willow, but Willow rejects it.
She is determined to reclaim her life, then Nina offers an apology, but Willow is indifferent; if Nina had been honest from the start, none of this would have occurred.
She holds both her mother and Drew responsible for the loss of her children and points Nina towards the exit. Nina reaches out to Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) for assistance with Willow; speaking to her didn’t yield any results.
Ric Drops By Liz’s To Talk To Willow
Ric visits later and tells Willow he couldn’t stop thinking about how upset she was the previous night. He offers to assist her in getting the kids back for free, not mentioning that Nina is secretly funding him; for now, he says they will wait until October.
Her credibility is out of the question; they will label her outbursts as emotional stress rather than something that occurs frequently, explaining Michael would win if they had the hearing tomorrow.
At this moment, they are building her case to show Michael that she can adhere to the rules. By the time he leaves, she is smiling, feeling overwhelmed, and needs to take a walk.
Drew Visits Michael And Pleads Willow’s Case
Drew goes to see Michael at the Q mansion, telling him that his relationship with Willow is over, but he still wants to fight for her; he requests some grace in his victory.
He asks Michael to allow Willow to be with her children, but Michael feels he can’t take that chance right now.
Drew offers to plead, but Michael explains that Willow was out of control last night-Drew feels guilty; she acted that way in court as well.
It disturbed him too, but he urges Michael to give her another chance-Michael questions why he should ever trust Drew again?
He suddenly remembers that Drew prevented Willow from visiting him while he was in Germany-he knows Drew bribed them to keep her away.
Drew Continues To Plead, Isaiah Cautions Portia
Drew wants to concentrate on the future, and do things differently. Michael says Willow might have had a future if he hadn’t messed things up.
Drew tries to persuade Michael to “do the right thing” for his children, but Michael’s not buying what he’s trying to sell.
Meanwhile, At GH, Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) warns Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) not to submit her resignation. Her guidance is what made him stay; they both acknowledge that they will miss collaborating with one another.
Brook Lynn And Maxie Catch Up, Nina Arrives, Kai Tries To Talk To Trina
Back at the pool, Trina observes Kai while Brook Lynn expresses her gratitude to Maxie for standing up for her against Lulu; Maxie understands both perspectives.
Later, after BLQ leaves, Nina shows up and they talk about the wedding disaster; Maxie reminds her that she warned her about it-she questions why Nina decided to be honest now.
Nina has a feeling that Willow might have done something truly terrible; if that were to come to light, she fears she would lose her children forever.
Meanwhile, Kai approaches Trina-he says he stands by his actions, which infuriates Trina; even if he felt remorse, it wouldn’t alter the situation. She can’t move past his actions; frustrated, she walks away and bumps into Joss.
Lulu Meets With Laura
Lulu visits Laura in her office and expresses her concerns about Brook Lynn- Laura shares details about Rocco’s visit.
She believes her child is making a poor choice, but Laura thinks he’s simply curious and has been behaving well around Liesl. The more Lulu tries to make it off-limits, the more he will pursue it and distance himself from her.
Lulu finds it hard to revisit that part of her life just to satisfy her son’s curiosity; Laura empathizes but recognizes that every child eventually sees their parents as imperfect beings.
Despite this, Lulu essentially calls her a hero, and Laura reassures her that she overcame their past and will manage this situation too-Laura encourages Lulu to support Rocco.
Portia Updates Curtis, Willow Pleads Her Case With Michael, Drew Looks For Willow At Liz’s
Portia approaches Curtis and informs him of her resignation-Curtis believes it’s unnecessary; as long as Drew doesn’t find out he revealed the truth about Nina to Willow, they are safe.
In the meantime, Rocco encounters Brook Lynn at the pool-he expresses his gratitude for essentially letting him know he had ‘another mother.’
Willow visits the Q mansion to apologize to Michael; she shares that she feels like she’s finally coming up for air-he is pleased but regrets how the situation unfolded. Ignoring Ric’s insistence, she asks if she can see the kids since she has met his conditions.
Drew stops by Liz’s place and requests to see Willow-while they talk about the wedding, Liz accidentally brings up Curtis telling Willow the truth.
