‘Real Housewives’ Alum Says She’d Consider Returning Under 2 Circumstances

elissa Gorga thinks “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” will return in 2026—with a “hybrid” cast. The veteran Bravo TV personality spoke out on the February 27 edition of her “On Display” podcast with guest Danielle Cabral.

Gorga admitted that she and her co-stars “don’t have any answers” regarding their fate as of yet. But she added of the show, “One thing I do know is that I do believe it will come back. I believe it will be a hybrid. I believe there will be some new, some old [cast members], I do not think they’re gonna revamp the whole show.”

“And I know, I think we can say ‘know,’ that it’s not gonna film until 2026. Like, it’s not happening this year,” she added.

In addition to Gorga and Cabral, the 14th season of RHONJ starred Teresa Giudice, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, and Rachel Fuda. Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler appeared as “friends of.” The show has been on “pause” since mid-2024 amid the cast’s divide.

Melissa Gorga Hopes to Get News on Her RHONJ Role Soon

Gorga has been a cast member on RHONJ since  2011. She previously addressed rumors of a full RHONJ  reboot or cast shakeup during a February 2025 appearance on the “Sherri” show.  Gorga told host Sherri Shepherd that “of course” she would like to return to RHONJ along with some new cast members. She also said she hoped to get news on her fate “sooner than later.”

“We were told we would get news like after the New Year. So I do think that they are working on it right now,” the Envy boutique owner said. “I have some good [intel], I feel like they’re working on it.  I know they’re definitely talking about bringing in some new girls.  I’m assuming they’re going to keep some familiar faces as well.”

On “On Display,” Gorga noted that some of her longtime co-stars had an issue with welcoming new women onto the show. “Some people just can’t get off their high horses or they can’t accept change, or they can’t invite new people in,” Gorga said. “They’re almost insecure to have change because then it means that you’re not, or that I’m not the head honcho anymore. And it’s like, no, that’s how we move forward in life. That’s how we keep things interesting. You’ve gotta keep story moving.”

Bravo host and producer Andy Cohen already teased that fans shouldn’t expect to hear news on the status of RHONJ for a long time.

Speaking with Us Weekly on December 16,  Cohen insinuated that it could be 2026 before an official announcement is made. When asked for an RHONJ update, he told the outlet, “You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking. And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”
