Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been one of the messiest seasons yet, so it shouldn’t be too surprising that their reunion looks are following suit. Bravo just dropped the Season 16 RHOA reunion looks, and we’ve got some serious concerns.
Bravo first teased the reunion looks on Tuesday, June 24, with a quick Instagram video showing Porsha Williams in a golden, Schiaparelli-inspired bustier. That led us to believe that the peaches were going to deliver an all-gold theme. After all, this was supposed to be their big comeback — a return to the golden era of RHOA. Instead, we’re seeing a hodgepodge of yellows, ranging from butter to bright saffron.
The RHOA Season 16 reunion looks are here
Shamea Morton Mwangi confirmed with Bravo’s The Daily Dish that the theme was yellow. With that in mind, she said she wanted to bring “warmth” to the reunion stage. She did that with a glistening dress that’s so yellow in some spots that it’s reaching the highlighter hue.
“The concept became ‘in full bloom,’ a celebration of blossoming into the woman I’ve become. My gown was inspired by the image of a flower at golden hour, basking in the glow of the setting sun,” Shamea explained.
We’ll give props to Kelli Ferrell, who said she was channeling “ocean goddess” energy for her first-ever reunion. Unlike some of her castmates, she does look like she’s going to a Real Housewives reunion. You can tell that her dramatic, 3D dress will look flawless while seated on the reunion couch. It’s no wonder Brit Eady tried to steal her glam squad.
Their fellow newbie, Angela Oakley, wore a butter-yellow dress and said that she wanted to do something “simple.” The rest of the ladies in the cast should have taken notes because their looks were far from that.
Phaedra Parks showed up in a golden sarong with a dramatic headpiece and a barely-there top. She claimed their cast trip to Grenada inspired it. Regardless of the inspo, she’s come a long way from the meek church woman we met years ago on RHOA, pretending not to know her due date.
Then, there’s Drew Sidora. After seeing her pale yellow reunion dress adorned with bright Big Bird feathers, it’s making a lot more sense why she got the last seat at the reunion. Bless her heart, and keep your fingers crossed that the reunion is better than these looks.
