‘Real Housewives’ Personality Says Her Husband Is the Reason She’s a ‘Friend of’

“Real Housewives of New York City” personality Rebecca Minkoff shared that her husband, Gavin Bellour, would prefer for her not to be a full-time cast member. 

During a December 2024 interview on Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, “Two Ts In A Pod,” Minkoff shared she was not sure if she would return to the series as a full-time star. She noted that she is a mother to four children, Luca, 12, Nico, 5, Bowie, 9, and Leonardo, 1.

“I guess TBD. My husband is a little bit on the fence about that. Which is why I wasn’t a full time [RHONY star] to begin with. We do have young kids. So I think he and I have just been weighing if there is a round two, what does it look like?” said Minkoff. 

While recording the podcast interview, Minkoff shared if she had any regrets from her first season on RHONY. According to Minkoff, she would have preferred if she was more opinionated while cameras were rolling. 

“I would have been more vocal at times. And stated opinions more strongly, in the moment. Again, I want to support women, I want to see them do well, so unless I have real beef with someone, I wasn’t just going to throw shade just to throw shade,” said Minkoff.  

Rebecca Minkoff Explained Why She Wanted to Join RHONY

While speaking to Style Caster in October 2024, Minkoff shared why she decided to join the RHONY cast during its 15th season. She said that she wanted fans of her brand, Rebecca Minkoff, to have a better understanding of her personality. 

“I looked at how [the brand] has been in touch with our customer from the beginning—I realized these people have grown up with me. So I thought, if I can show [them] another dimension of myself as an entertainer, a prankster, a girl’s girl—that just establishes more closeness to my customer,” said Minkoff during the interview. 

In addition, she said that she was not “gossiping about the girls behind their backs or being catty” while filming RHONY season 15.

“Hopefully, if I’m edited correctly, you’ll see that I’m a peacemaker and the one who’s constantly trying to get us to get along,” said Minkoff to the publication. 

Rebecca Minkoff Said She Believed Fans Would Have a Better Understanding of Her Because of RHONY

Minkoff made similar comments about filming RHONY season 15 during a September 2024 interview on Page Six’s “Virtual Reality” podcast. She said she was “excited for [her] fans and [her] customers to get a look inside.”

“There’s a fun side of me. Or a silly side of me. Or a mama bear side of me that you don’t get to see that I hope is shown on the show,” said Minkoff on the podcast episode.
