RHOA Producer Grills Dennis McKinley About His Relationship With Drew: "Behind Her Back..."

Dennis McKinley shared his side of the drama involving Porsha Williams and Drew Sidora on RHOA.

Porsha Williams isn't the only one questioning Dennis McKinley's relationship with Drew Sidora on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16.

When Dennis pulled up a chair next to ex-fiancée Porsha in an Episode 9 confessional, a RHOA producer immediately put him in the hot seat, asking, "Why did [Porsha] have to hear that you were filming with Drew behind her back from someone else?"

Dennis' defense: "Me? I wasn't filming. I just… I came to a session and [RHOA] cameras happened to be there."

Cut to a Porsha pursing her lips in a show of silent skepticism, just before a flashback played of Dennis and Drew in the music studio.

After unexpectedly receiving the filming intel from a friend while in Nashville, Porsha had actually asked Dennis the same question during a one-on-one chat about their "friendship" at her home. Cameras cut away before we could hear his answer, though.

When the scene resumed, the music producer was explaining to his ex that, "out of respect" for her feelings, Drew was "not even signed" to him anymore. "And now there ain't nothin' else to talk about because [you're] obviously scared her," he told Porsha.

Even so, Porsha interjected that he and Drew "need to take accountability" for the status of their professional relationship, instead of blaming her. She even pulled up text message receipts that she believed showed Dennis apparently admitting that Drew had "tried to sleep with" him.

He denied the accusation, however, responding, "You're interpreting that incorrectly."

Where Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley's relationship stands today

Regardless, Porsha insisted that she was over the drama. "Whatever. I'm done with it, and I'm moving past that situation with Drew," she said. "I'm trying to show you how we should operate in this co-parenting relationship: friendship."

Though Dennis wasn't exactly thrilled that his ex (with whom he shares 6-year-old daughter Pilar Jhena "PJ" McKinley) playfully called him "brother," the two ended their conversation on a positive note.

"It's really important to me that Dennis and I have a good, cohesive co-parenting relationship right now. That is [the] priority," Porsha shared earlier in the May 4 episode. "Now that I know the fact Dennis is an honorary Househusband, I've just chosen to move on. Because even though I could start World War 3, the end goal is for our daughter."

Drew Sidora defends her and Dennis McKinley's friendship

Only time will tell if she and Drew can make the same progress, though.

Despite Porsha repeatedly explaining to producers that her problem with Dennis filming RHOA without her stemmed from how the platform could potentially affect their co-parenting dynamic, Drew remained in the dark on her rationale.

"If we already talked about the fact Dennis and I were working together — and that was OK, and you're in support of it — I don't understand the issue,” Drew, who has denied any romantic involvement with Porsha's ex, vented on a recent RHOA After Show. "There is no issue between her and Dennis. She knows that we're all friends. I just feel like no one's doing anything to hurt Porsha."
