Now, it seems gossip from the past is rearing its ugly head in the new season as Katie Ginella has accused her of calling the paparazzi on herself. Heather is responding to that as well as the rest of the gossip from the recent girls’ trip depicted on the show.
Fans will recall that some of the ladies questioned photos of Heather and Terry last season on the show. The cast felt that they staged pictures in order to offset the cheating rumors that were going around at the time. Of course, Heather denies this. However, Katie claims to have proof that Heather wants to be seen by the cameras when she’s out and about.
Recently, Heather spoke to Style Caster about the rumors and the proof Katie claims to have. She says, “Her proof is some rando text message from someone named Mark. I swore on the lives of my children that I’ve never called the paparazzi. I would like to be emphatic about that. Just so there’s no misunderstanding.”
She continues, “There are no semantics involved in that statement. I didn’t tell anyone to call the paparazzi. I didn’t wink at someone. I didn’t have knowledge of someone. I had nothing to do with it.”
Heather then calls Katie’s allegations “weird” and discusses how they had only met a few times when she made the claim. Heather explains, “If I had, I would’ve said it. People do that kind of thing all the time. I just did not. This is a character assassination that I will not stand idly by. For someone to come into our group, have this weird vendetta against me. I met this girl two or three times, and there’s this laundry list of things. It’s weird.”
Heather then mentions her friend Sutton Stracke and how she told Katie not to go up against Heather.
“Sutton texted me that night, and she was like, ‘Why do people think that’s weird I said that to her? I wouldn’t go against you, and they shouldn’t come against me either. I think the bigger question about the whole thing is, why does [Katie] care so much?”
Heather also spoke to US Weekly about the episode. In particular, she says watching Tamra Judge and Emily Simpson share in the gossip is what hurt her the most.
According to Heather, “It devastated me. I shed some tears that night.”
She goes on to say she is giving them grace. She explains, “I understood when the girls were all at the bar that at first they were laughing and carrying on about it because they were told this information in a very salacious way. I kept thinking, ‘Why is no one asking to see proof? Why is no one vetting this information, and why is everyone so gleefully enjoying this?'”
Heather then says that Tamra texted her to say she was sorry for the gossip but that she had not heard from Emily. She says, “She texted me and was very apologetic. Tamra and I have been friends for a long time. I am very upset about all of that. But that’s something we’re going to just have to figure out. And that doesn’t mean we’re not friends anymore. It doesn’t mean I’m mad. It means I’m upset.”
Regarding Emily, Heather says, “Who wants to hang out with people that want your demise? It’s like schadenfreude on steroids. I’m not that person. I want my friends to succeed. I want everyone to be happy and move forward in their life. It didn’t feel good, and I didn’t think it was funny.”
Heather also wants to know why the ladies would take Gina’s word over her’s when they are just now getting to know each other.
RHOC airs Thursday nights on Bravo, and fans can stream it the next day on Peacock.
