RHOC’s Shannon Beador Gives Update After Dog Archie Is Attacked

Real Housewives of Orange County’s resident good boy, Archie Beador, has had a really ruff go of it lately. Shannon Beador’s beloved eight-year-old golden retriever has now been in two unfortunate incidents, by no doing of his own.

First, Shannon took Archie along on her ride of destruction last year when she drove under the influence and crashed into a home. She then pretended to be taking him for a walk when the police arrived.

Now, Shannon revealed that Archie was recently viciously attacked by another dog while out for a walk.

Shannon says the dog attack “happened within seconds”

Shannon took to Instagram yesterday, June 10, to explain what happened on Archie’s latest unfortunate walk. Under photos of a sad-looking Archie with a scratched-up snoot, she explained that a dog aggressively bit at him from between the slats of a fence.

The caption began, “Archie was bitten by another dog when we went on a walk today. The dog was enclosed in his front patio but started to bark and protruded his face out to bite Archie through the slats in the fence.”

She says it all happened “within seconds,” and although she tried to “pull Archie away,” it was too late. Then, she lamented the other dog owner’s response.

“The owner suggested that maybe I walked too close to his fence. Archie has never been in a dog fight in all of his 8 years!!”

Shannon concluded, “word of advice to people walking their dogs in Corona del Mar [California]. Some dogs can attack yours through their own fence. Archie has been checked by the vet and is on antibiotics for the wounds. He will be okay. Love him beyond!!!”

We’re so glad that Archie just needed antibiotics and is on the mend. First his DUI ride-along and now this? Please, can this sweet boy be kept in a temperature-controlled bubble somewhere indoors? Judging from the RHOC Season 18 trailer, Shannon’s going through it, and she’s going to need her trusty companion for support.

Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County debuts July 11 on Bravo.
