On Real Housewives of New Jersey, Margaret Josephs gets away with some serious pot-stirring. A lot of it. That’s why we love her, and now that she’s besties with Rachel Fuda, they’re like two shady little peas in a pod.
In the war against Teresa Giudice, Rachel and Margaret have become solid allies, but we know that friendships in New Jersey are increasingly fragile. So, during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen put their friendship to the test to see just how far Rachel would go to defend her new pal.
Rachel can’t cosign everything
Andy challenged Rachel to a game of “Defend Your Friend.” He ran through a list of Margaret’s many messy moments from RHONJ. Rachel had to say whether or not she could defend them.
In most of the scenarios, Rachel said she could find a way to have Margaret’s back. For example, getting mad about not getting an advanced copy of your friend’s book is totally fine in Rachel’s eyes. Comparing someone’s lips to a monkey’s rear end? Acceptable. For Rachel, the only thing that she couldn’t defend was Margaret revealing Jackie Goldschneider’s shady texts about Dolores Cantania during RHONJ Season 14, Episode 7.
“No, I can’t defend that,” Rachel quickly told Andy when asked about the text message moment.
The game went on, and Rachel proceeded to defend essentially everything else Andy threw her way. She could even defend Marge for treating her husband like a toddler and picking out his outfits every day. That’s some serious loyalty. As long as Marge doesn’t air any of Rachel’s texts, these two are probably going to stay thick as thieves.
