The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has four daughters total, though Gia was perhaps showcased the most on camera since the show began in 2009. Gia is now starring on a new reality show, Making It In Manhattan, made up of the children of castmates from The Real Housewives franchises.

On her Turning The Tables podcast, via Reality Tea, Teresa shared that she apologized to Gia because she “felt really bad.”

Gia explained that she was frustrated with her mom after she asked Teresa to pack an overnight bag so Gia could briefly stay in New York. The bag had clothes and a $28 bottle of body wash. But Teresa hadn’t checked the bottle, and the cap was loose. The liquid ended up spilling over Gia’s clothes.

Gia suggested that her mom should’ve checked the cap before packing it, and Teresa said Gia should’ve informed her that the cap wasn’t secured.

“Why didn’t you tell me, ‘Ma, [make] sure the top is screwed on properly?’” said Teresa.

The mother and daughter argued via text for 30 minutes before Luis convinced Teresa to say sorry.

“Luis told you to say sorry to me because it was your fault!” said Gia.

“[I] did say sorry because [I] felt really bad,” said Teresa, who made it up by buying “five bottles” of the body wash.

In a September episode of the same podcast, Teresa apologized to her oldest daughter for how she handled her upbringing.

“I just wanted to say sorry for being so strict with you. I was like a really strict parent. And then with your sisters, I wasn’t as strict because of all the legal stuff,” said Teresa, alluding to her and her then-husband’s prison sentences after pleading guilty to mortgage fraud.

But Gia shared that she “loved” how Teresa raised her.

“I grew up very disciplined. Very structured,” she said. “And like, that’s how I’m literally going to raise my kids, like how you raised me.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently on pause. The network reportedly has not decided which castmates, if any, will return.
