‘RHONY’ Star Announces Her Engagement to Longtime Boyfriend
“The Real Housewives of New York City” star Ubah Hassan is officially engaged. The model shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram in a May 31 post of her now-fiancé Oliver Dachsel proposing.
The two looked to be in a desert with a small table set up with champagne. As Dachsel kneeled down to a sitting Hassan, she joined him on the ground.
One picture shows the “RHONY” star tearfully gazing at him, with the last shot showing off a gorgeous oval-shaped diamond ring.
“To love and be loved by someone so kind, deeply good, and quietly breathtaking,” Hassan wrote.
Bravolebs shared their well wishes. “So happy we can now celebrate!!! Hard to keep your secret,” Garcelle Beauvais replied.
Hassan’s “RHONY” castmate Sai De Silva shared, “I’m crying so hard right now and I already knew the news.” Erin Lichy posted, “IM SO EXCITED !!!!!!! I can’t wait to see your faces and smoosh you.”

Hassan’s dating life became the topic of scrutiny when her “RHONY” co-star Brynn Whitfield asked her during a party in season 14 about a man from Connecticut that she was dating.
Hassan had wanted to keep her relationship under wraps because Dachsel was very private and in the finance business.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Dachsel is a senior vice president at Aris Mining. He previously worked at the investment banking firm Jeffries for seven years, and at Deutsche Bank prior to that.
Dachsel and Hassan made their first official public appearance together in October 2023 at the American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala at the Lincoln Center, per Page Six.
“They were together the whole night. It wasn’t like they were making out, but they never left each other’s side, they were very giggly and she seemed excited to be introducing him to people,” a source shared.

Dachsel may be a private person, but that doesn’t mean he’s not encouraging of Hassan’s public life. “He is very kind and very supportive. He loves the girls, [and] he’s backstage,” she shared during a 2024 episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” per Bravo.
Although Dachsel didn’t make an appearance on “RHONY” season 15, Hassan said, “I talk about him a lot. A lot.”
