Brynn Whitfield says she’s the only cast member from “The Real Housewives of New York City” who has a full-time job outside of the show.
During an April 2025 interview on Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast, Whitfield, 38, shared details about her day job as a brand marketing consultant. She noted that none of her castmates, who include Erin Lichy, Ubah Hassan, Jessel Taank, Sai De Silva, Jenna Lyons, and Racquel Chevremont, have full-time jobs.
“We have influencers, we have models, we have art curators,” Whitfield said of the RHONY season 15 cast. “We have people that did work at J. Crew three years ago, but now they’re just, like, honorary positions. We have, like, a real estate agent that hasn’t sold a house in seven years,” she added.
Whitfield was quick to add, “They’re doing amazing stuff …starting businesses and being entrepreneurs. They’re all very successful and making money.”
But she noted that the other Real Housewives stars weren’t “doing the boring … job that most of America” does the way that she does.
Brynn Whitfield said Her Day Job Is Not Glamorous
Whitfield has talked about her more traditional job in the past.
In an interview with BravoTV.com,, she shared that she starts her day by going on Slack and sending emails to clients. She also does Zoom calls and makes decks for ad campaigns.
“There’s not anything glamorous about being a consultant,” Whitfield said. “Like most Americans, it’s just more like 9 to 5. I sit in front of a desk and count the time til I can go get coffee or go to lunch, you know?” the RHONY star said.
Some People Have Questioned Brynn Whitfield’s Job

Because many of Whitfield’s clients wish to maintain privacy, she does not film her real job for Bravo. That led some to question if she even worked at all. When Lichy was a guest on Lewis’ Sirius XM radio show “Jeff Lewis Live” she was asked about Whitfield’s finances.
“How does she survive?” host Jeff Lewis asked of the single Bravo star. “Where does she get her money?… Where’s the money coming from?”
Lichy simply replied, “I don’t know. I know she used to work a lot.”
On “Trading Secrets,” Lichy said her salary as a consultant is lucrative. “I make as much as a lawyer does per hour as a consultant,” she told Tartick of her hourly rate.
