RHONY's Lіzzy Sаvetsky QUITS Reboot After Fасіng Antі-Semіtіс Tһreаts Over Her Pro-Isrаel Vіews on Soсіаl Medіа

The Real Housewives of New York's Lizzy Savetsky has quit the reboot due to receiving anti-Semitic abuse when she was announced as a cast member.

The Jewish fashion influencer, who was announced to be joining the entirely new cast for season 14 in August, has exited the show before filming has wrapped due to 'insane social media threats' over her Pro-Israel stance on social media.

Savetsky published a statement to Instagram Wednesday confirming the news.

‘I will not be continuing on the Real Housewives of NYC,' she began. 'As a proud orthodox Jewish woman, I thought participating in this series would be a great chance to represent people like me and share my experience.

'Unfortunately, from the time of my announcement in the cast, I was on the receiving end of a torrent of antisemitic attacks,' she stated.

'As this continued, I realized that this path was no longer right for me and my family. I’m looking forward to my next chapter.

'Stay tuned — and thank you for your support! All my love,' Savetsky concluded.

A Bravo spokesperson later issued their own confirmation, writing: 'After thoughtful consideration and discussion with Lizzy, we have reached the mutual conclusion that Lizzy will not be a cast member on RHONY.'

Savetsky is originally from Fort Worth, Texas and based out of New York, as she's mother to three children with her husband Dr. Ira Savetsky, a plastic surgeon.

She often posts about her Jewish faith, the Yiddish language and her family. She states she is a 'proud Jew and Zionist' on her Instagram bio, with the star boasting 220,000 followers on the platform.

The star has previously spoken about receiving vile anti-Semitic abuse on social media, posting a video commenting on Kanye West's scandal in October.

She wrote: 'Yesterday I received yet another frightening barrage of antisemitic hate and threats when I spoke up on Kanye West's since deleted post that perpetuates the dangerous myth that Jews control the media.

'The amount of hate that exists towards us is rapidly growing thanks to irresponsible influence from huge voices like Kanye's!

'Thankfully Instagram has restricted Kanye's account. That doesn't change the fact that I continue to receive shockingly hateful, even threatening comments in support of his antisemitic message.

'My children's great grandmother didn't survive Auschwitz so we could sit idly by as people threaten our existence as a people. We have to speak up! I take these threats very seriously and you should too.'

She has previously come under fire from fans for posting a Photoshopped image of a Vogue cover featuring Palestinian-Dutch supermodel Bella Hadid, writing: 'Bella Hadid graces this month's Vogue cover wearing design by John 'I love Hitler' Galliano.'

'Gigi Hadid exploits Ukrainians in crisis to promote anti-Israel agenda which Vogue then echoes.'

Bella has previously expressed Pro-Palestine views and last year was slammed for sharing a graphic that said Israel was not a country, and the star was accused of anti-Semitism.

Savetsky has spoken about meeting  her husband on a 2004 Birthright Israel Foundation trip,

She wrote: 'Ira and I have now been married almost 9 years and we never would have met had it not been for Birthright Israel. I would not be observant had it not been for Birthright Israel.

'And most importantly, my two daughters, Stella and Juliet, would not be here, were it not for this organization.'

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Savetsky and Bravo for comment.

The newcomers to the cast of the series - who are set to replace Luann de Lesseps, Leah McSweeney, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Eboni K. Williams - are 'women who have their own brands, or at least strong Instagram followings' and are 'already strong in the influencer space,' the source said.

A source told Page Six in August that Bravo is looking to change the chemistry on the long-running series.

'Bravo found people aren't responding as well to the constant bickering and fighting of the [previous] cast,' and are 'hoping that this new cast will be a bit more inspiring and attract the younger audience,' the source said

Savetsky has also spoken candidly about battling alcohol abuse, as she told the outlet Aish in July that her last drink was July 31, 2021.

Savetsky told the outlet she realized she had hit her rock bottom when she 'blacked out while hosting' guests who had visited her home for Shabbat, adding, 'I don't remember anything until I woke up the next morning.'

She said that seeing her husband's exasperation with her issued led her to realize she 'could lose everything' due to drinking.

'That's when I was willing to hand everything over to God and give this battle my all,' she said. 'The outside world wasn't going to tell me to stop. It had to come from within.'

Previously, Leah McSweeney, who joined The Real Housewives of New York City in 2019, broke her sobriety after nine years  of not consuming alcohol.

Luann de Lesseps, who is an original cast member of Real Housewives of New York City, has also battled alcoholism throughout her years on the show, including getting arrested for attacking a police officer in Palm Beach, Florida in 2017.

At the time, 'she was charged with disorderly intoxication, battery of an officer/firefighter/EMT, resisting arrest with violence and threatening a public servant, according to the Today Show.

In March, after an 'regrettable incident' at the Townhouse of New York, a local LGBTQ bar, she issued an apology to the bar's staff and admitted her 'struggles with alcohol' is 'real.'

'It's one day at a time!' she added. 'I'm in recovery and taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen again. I'm grateful to my family and my friends for their constant support. Sincerely, LuAnn.'

Last year, longtime RHONY vet Sonja Morgan has raised concerns from her costars, but has vehemently denied being an alcoholic.

During an episode last season, Morgan told her pals on the show: 'I don't drink alone, I don't drink at home, I don't drink on dates. I don't go out and socialize like that, I just don't.'

Savetsky is slated to join the cast at a time where behind-the-scenes rivalries have escalated to the point that the entire cast couldn't be assembled for a reunion special.

Bravo is aiming to recast some of the RHONY cast members in a legacy series, sources told the outlet.

The show is also aiming to recruit Vera Wang SVP of global communications Priya Shukla for a role on the series, but she has yet to sign on as a full-time cast member, a source told the outlet.
