RHOSLC Alum Monica Garcia Welcomes Fifth Baby, First with Boyfriend Braxton Knight

Monica Garcia is officially a mom of 5!

In an Instagram Reel on Thursday, April 17, the former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star announced the arrival of her fifth child. This is the first child for her and her boyfriend, Braxton Knight.

Backed by the song "To Our Daughter (Lullaby)" by My Best Friend Jacob, the clip began with Knight admiring their newborn as they lay in a hospital bassinet.

While Garcia didn't reveal any other details about the baby, the video showed a close-up of the little one wrapped in a purple swaddle.

Other clips included in the post showed Garcia holding her baby tightly in her arms while sitting in a hospital chair and resting with her infant in bed. As the video ended, the new parents could be seen leaving the hospital with balloons.

An additional clip showed the new mom reflecting on her pregnancy journey.

“Getting pregnant at 40 was never the plan, but just like the last couple years of my life, nothing has gone to plan. Dear God & body … thank you 🤍 Thank you for holding this baby safely through 9 months and a delivery," said Garcia.

"So very grateful. I will miss this so much. Every hiccup and every kick felt 🤍," her statement continued.

In addition to her newborn, Garcia is a mom to daughters Bri, 19, Jaidyn, 14, West, 8, and Kendall, 7, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Fowler.

Garcia previously opened up to PEOPLE about telling her partner that she was pregnant during a Disneyland trip.

"My best friend, Koa, helped me pull it all off," she said. "Koa had picked out the infant ears hat at the Mad Hatter and had 'Aries Baby' embroidered on them while I distracted Braxton with churros and getting my cotton candy. I told him while we were on Peter Pan, flying over NeverLand."

Garcia, who experienced a miscarriage last year, also opened up to PEOPLE about why she initially kept her pregnancy private.

"Being able to protect my peace was so important to me this pregnancy," she said.

"I'm grateful for those that have stood beside me, to the amazing fans, and loved ones I do have in my life, but that miscarriage was my lowest point with being in the public eye and I wasn't going to put myself through that again, for the sake of the pregnancy and the baby," continued Garcia.
