Dahlin skates, but will likely not play vs. Pittsburgh on Saturday
The Buffalo Sabres scrimmaged at Key Bank Center on Friday, playing two 25-minute periods, a 3-on-3 overtime, and a shootout, with Team Blue staging a late rally for a 3-2 shootout victory over Team White.
The game had no scoring and only a few offensive chances until the middle of the second frame when 2024 first-rounder Konsta Helenius opened the scoring. JJ Peterka extended the lead to 2-0, but the Blue man group rallied during the 3-on-3 with goals from Zach Benson and Ryan McLeod.
Jack Quinn scored the only goal in the shootout.
"What you saw was real good attention to detail, making sure we had people back, getting above people. We gave up some couple opportunities off of bad change, but I thought our work away from the puck really had nothing to do with system, it had to do with effort." Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff said.

Injury Updates:
Ruff indicated that defenseman Rasmus Dahlin skated prior to the scrimmage, and did not rule out him getting back on the ice prior to the club leaving for Europe next Tuesday, and also said that winger Viktor Neuchev will be alright after colliding with the post in practice drills on Thursday.
