The New Orleans Saints offense feels a bit rejuvenated. Even without Chris Olave or Rashid Shaheed, they've played better football in their last two games. Getting healthier on the offensive line could be a major piece to that pie.
Taysom Hill has been a key factor recent, after some inconsistent outputs in the first half of the season.
Taysom Time
Before Week 11, Saints head coach Darren Rizzi made it clear that Taysom would be a larger part of the offense for New Orleans. That played out in their massive win over the Cleveland Browns, and Hill was the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Now, Rizzi is doubling down on his faith in Hill going forward. There's not gonna be a lack of trust or involvement for the league's most unique utility weapon to finish this season.
“I think sprinkling him a little bit everywhere is when we’re at our best.”
Derek Carr also chimed in on why Hill is effective and hard to tackle for defenders.
“If you walked into the weight room and watched him work out, you would understand why it’s so hard to tackle him.”
Both Carr and Rizzi are excited to see more of Taysom for the rest of the season. In the passing game, Hill has actually been a valuable piece for Carr, especially with his best wide receivers out with injury.
We will see how much Taysom gets the football in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams.
