As the New Orleans Saints' quarterback competition heats up, they could look to add another potential starter to their group at the position. Kellen Moore knows what he wants from his QB, and a player in a different league could fit the bill as their starter or backup.
Should the Saints pursue UFL star QB?
Bryce Perkins has been lighting it up in the UFL for the Michigan Panthers. He's gotten some recent NFL buzz due to his dominance.
Perkins is a former UDFA quarterback signing for the Los Angeles Rams. He actually won a Super Bowl with the Rams as well.

The Saints could still look to add another QB option, especially if they do not see Jake Haener as a potential option to keep in the fold. He has missed some time this offseason due to injury.
Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler seem like the front runners to win the starting job for the black and gold.
Perkins named UFL MVP for 2025
Perkins was recently named the MVP for the UFL. Deservedly so, he has been a constistent offensive force all season long.
Perkins completed 69% of his passes and threw for 1,342 yards and nine touchdowns this season. He also ran for five touchdowns as well. Perkins missed three games but still proved to voters that he was the top option around the UFL.

There's unfinished business for Perkins and the Panthers this weekend but the spring leagues have proven to be a productive opportunity for NFL franchises to target developmental talent. Perhaps Perkins can be next. The Rams don't seem like a likely fit for any interest in Perkins with Matthew Stafford, Jimmy Garoppolo and Stetson Bennett already under contract, although four quarterbacks entering into training camp is not an usual amount to carry. -- Kyle Crabbs
During Perkins' performance last Sunday, the announcer for the game pointed out on elf his impressive throws as an NFL throw. It is clear that he is showing off skills that could get him back into the league sooner than later.
"You want to see an NFL throw? That's an NFL throw." 😤

We will see if New Orleans shows any interest in the QB amid their competition at the position. Both Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler have both showed some impressive pieces to their game so far this offseason during practices.
