The New Orleans Saints have had quite a disappointing campaign this season. Veterans haven't played well enough, and not enough of their young talent has made a difference amid so many injuries.
Overall, the Saints have limited upside on the roster at the moment, and the latest Pro Bowl update proves that yet again.
No Saints players named to 2025 Pro Bowl
The Saints are one of four teams with no Pro Bowl selections. Three of those four will pick in the top ten of the 2025 NFL Draft.
It is a far cry from where they were just half a decade ago in New Orleans. In 2019, the Saints had eleven players selected to the Pro Bowl. Over the past three years, they've had just four combined.
The talent drop-off has been stark and blatant for the Saints.
It is possible that some Saints players get selected as alternates once some players selected are ruled out due to injury or removed because they will play in the Super Bowl.
Regardless, the veterans on the team like Demario Davis, Tyrann Mathieu, Cameron Jordan, and others simply did not perform well enough to get a nod they've all received earlier in their career.
It will be intriguing to see how those sort of long-time contributors respond in 2025 if they remain in New Orleans.
