What was once known as just your average reality television show, all about dating and trying to find "the one," has turned into the biggest hit show of the summer of 2024, all thanks to the Season 6 cast of Love Island: USA. When Season 6 first aired, everybody around the world was raving over the cast and, of course, the iconic host, Ariana Madix. This season was truly special because it gave fans a sense of not only relationships and finding true love, but there was a sense of genuine friendship, which is not seen often in dating shows.
There is no doubt that Season 6 of Love Island: USA will go down as one of Love Island's best seasons in the franchise's history, but all seasons that are yet to come after this legendary one deserve the same respect without comparison. No season of any show will ever be the same, and each cast to follow Season 6 deserves a clean slate with equal opportunity.

Season 7 of Love Island: USA premieres Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025. This is the time for the new cast to be equally excited and nervous about their new season airing. They should be ecstatic that their once-in-a-lifetime chance at potentially finding their life partner will be watched by millions around the world. What this new cast does not need are high expectations due to the crazy amount of support that Season 6 received.
If fans of the show go into Season 7 expecting it to be just like the previous season, or if fans have it glued into their minds already because Season 6 was such a massive hit, surely Season 7 will out-do it, opens up a whole new world of potentially being let down and putting immense pressure on the Season 7 cast. The best and fairest thing to do is to begin Season 7 with an open mind and a clean slate, realizing that Season 6 is in the past - the new cast deserves that. It would be completely unfair if fans set high expectations for the new cast. There is definitely already a tremendous amount of pressure on any new reality star, and the pressure of comparison to a previous season or person does not need to be added to their plate.
