The Southern Charm cast member is sharing a look at his life alongside one very special lady.
Women may come and go from Shep Rose's life, but there is one woman who has been by his side through thick and thin — his mom, Frances Rose. The Southern Charm cast member's romances have been documented on camera over the past 10 seasons, but his relationship with his mom is his most important.
Shep took to Instagram on April 1, where he posted a series of photos showing off a recent day in his life, which included meeting up with his mom. He also made time for his dog, Lil' Craig, and did some shopping. In the first photo in the carousel, Shep can be seen sitting in a café across from his mom, who wore a striped shirt, while Lil' Craig sat on his lap.
"Action-packed day today," Shep wrote in the caption of the post. "Went and met my mom in Beaufort to grab Lil' Craig and some boiled peanuts and banana bread (my mom made great [banana] bread back in the day). Lovely catching up as always."
Shep Rose shares an update on his life today
Shep continued in the caption of the post, revealing that on the same day, he bought The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and former high school classmate, Teddi Mellencamp, a shark tooth necklace from Foxy Fossils. He also picked up a necklace for Andy Cohen.
"The species I chose were Angustiden (23-38 million years old and the grandfather of the megalodon) and a fossilized Tiger Shark for Andy (felt like Andy exhibits tiger-like qualities)," he wrote. "My good friend Casey started collecting sharks' teeth years ago and make great jewelry. Earrings. Cuff links. Bracelets. And of course, the ubiquitous necklaces. Check out [Foxy Fossils] to shop. She's talented."
But Southern Charm matriarch Patricia Altschul wasn't too pleased with these selections, taking to the comments to sound off on Shep's gift giving. "The next time you pick out jewelry for a girlfriend...will you please call me," she wrote.
Shep Rose reveals how his mom and Patricia Altschul are alike
As it turns out, Patricia and Shep's mom are "a lot alike," as Shep told The Daily Dish in 2016, adding that both women share similarities.
"They can hang with the guys and laugh at the stories and not be too demure and Southern gentile," he explained. "They can yuck it up and that's fun. I like that."
Shep Rose shares that he's "lucky" to have his family
In another interview with The Daily Dish, Shep revealed that he is so grateful for his family. "I'm lucky, that's all I can say. I'm super lucky," he noted.
