Sonja Morgan Explains Leaving Restaurant on Ambulance Stretcher

Real Housewives of New York alum Sonja Morgan is having a lot of restaurant drama these days. Talks of being blacklisted from a restaurant for dine-and-dashing have been all over the news. However, her latest snafu in the culinary world has nothing to do with any of that. Apparently, Sonja helped out a restaurant patron in need, which ended up with Sonja in an ambulance. And now Sonja is speaking out on the matter.

It seemed like simpler times when Sonja was on RHONY and her only restaurant drama consisted of dancing on tables or accidentally flashing her bum. But now Sonja is making headlines for dipping out on her bill. Recently the owner of Tucci, Max Tucci, blacklisted Sonja from his NYC restaurant.

He alleged Sonja told him, “I’m a celebrity. I don’t pay. Why did you give me a bill?” Oop. However, Sonja has since paid her bill and moved on. And now Sonja has had even more restaurant drama when she recently left one in an ambulance.

This time the incident went down in Palm Beach, Florida. Sonja told PEOPLE, “An elderly patron at the restaurant I was dining at appeared to be in distress, and I called for medical assistance. While assisting during the commotion, I sustained some minor injuries and, out of an abundance of caution, accompanied the EMTs to be checked out.”

She did not explain what the “commotion” was about, but with Sonja you never know. A source claimed that Sonja was “seemingly upset while loudly speaking to responding officers” before leaving in the ambulance.

Apparently, Sonja wanted to ensure the patron was taken care of before she left. She shared, “I didn’t want to leave. I insisted on making sure she was cared for.”

Let’s hope that Sonja’s next meal out is paid in full and a peaceful one.
