Sonja Morgan was taken to a hospital in Florida on Thursday night after being loaded into an ambulance at Echo restaurant in Palm Beach.
Days after being banned from NYC hotspot Tucci after allegedly “causing a scene” and demanding her $1,000 bill be comped, the 61-year-old Real Housewives of New York City alum was believed to have called for help for a friend who had taken a spill at the venue, but she ended up in the ambulance herself after what appeared to be a heated discussion with police.
According to a report from TMZ on May 16, Sonja seemed upset as she spoke loudly to the responding officers and to restaurant staff for around 15 minutes before being loaded onto the stretcher and placed into the back of the ambulance.
Speaking to the outlet, the Palm Beach Police Department revealed that officers and firemen arrived at Echo after getting a medical call around 9:45 p.m. and remained on-site for under an hour, offering treatment to one patient.
While the report was unable to confirm what exactly happened to Sonja, Janets of Bravo on X offered more insight as they shared a message from an insider who claimed to have been at the venue with co-workers.
The source alleged that if Sonja hadn’t agreed to go to the hospital, she would’ve been arrested.
“This is from a guy on my team: From my understanding the [police] gave her [two] options: Leave in the back of the cop car or leave in an ambulance and she left in the ambulance … She was fuuuuuuuu*ked … She couldn’t walk down the steps on her own … [I don’t know] what happened inside.”
Sonja has not yet commented publicly on the matter.
Earlier this week, following her ban from Tucci, Sonja admitted she “definitely felt lost” during the debacle at the restaurant, where she ultimately paid her $1,000 bill.
Sonja also shared a statement with Page Six in regard to her antics at Tucci, telling the outlet, “There was a clear miscommunication … I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post … I made that known to staff.”
