Shep Rose revealed if he really believes Taylor Ann Green‘s family wants them to get back together while appearing on Watch What Happens Live recently.
As he also commented on Austen Kroll‘s future with Audrey Pratt, his friendship drama with Craig Conover, 35, and his short-lived romance with Miss Bahamas Sienna Evans, the 45-year-old Southern Charm star revealed his thoughts on Jarrett “JT” Thomas‘ drama with Patricia Altschul, 83, and more.
“I do not think that currently, but shortly after the breakup [I did think Taylor’s family wanted us to get back together],” Shep admitted on an episode of WWHL. “I’m still in contact with her mom. They’re wonderful people. But no, of course not, the ship has sailed. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that, but old feelings die hard.”
Regarding Austen’s romance with Audrey, who he was first linked to in March, Shep gave its chance of a future a nine out of 10.
“I think he’s making a go out of it,” Shep noted. “He’s very committed to Audrey, and it’s fun to watch. I think she’s fantastic. She’s very chill, very reserved.”
Moving on to Craig, Shep was asked if his longtime friend understood why he was so upset with him for dropping their friendship amid his struggles with alcohol.
“I think he does understand, deep down. We have such an engrained wild past that it’s kind of hard for us to admit when we were wrong maybe, sometimes. But I feel the love for him and we’re in a real good spot,” he confirmed.
Also speaking of Craig, Shep addressed his castmate’s suggestion that he’d never lied on camera.
“Give me a break. I was there. I saw it,” Shep stated. “It was several seasons of shenanigans, which by the way, I loved that Craig because it’s not harmful. It’s just little weird rationalizations and bending of the truth, and it’s kind of part of his charm, I thought, in the beginning.”
In addition to Craig drawing back from Shep as he struggled with his drinking habits, Austen, 37, did as well.
“You can definitely say it’s tough love. It was,” Shep reasoned. “[I have to] make sure that I hold myself accountable because that’s the most important part.”
As for what attracted him to Sienna, Shep applauded her “exotic persona” and “curly, wild hair,” saying the qualities were “intoxicating.”
Although there was a lot of tension between JT, 39, and Patricia in the early episodes of season 10, Shep said he did not think JT called Patricia a “b*tch.”
“I do not. I never heard it and I said as much on the show,” he shared. “I think JT was, at that moment, at Patrica’s house, everybody piled on and I was like, ‘Wait a second. Yes, he is a little bizarre. But I don’t think he’s mean-spirited necessarily.’”
At the end of the live show, Shep was given the opportunity to share the biggest lessons he’d learned from his time on Southern Charm.
“Five… Try not to black out on camera. Four, don’t beat yourself up because there’s always another episode and another season, and redemption is always around the corner. Number three, you are walking a razor’s edge of being funny and provocative. Try not to cut yourself. Number two, be authentic because the camera never lies and the audience always knows, and then number one, don’t try too hard,” he shared.
On the WWHL: After Show after the live broadcast, Shep denied cheating was his “market characteristic” and revealed he’s not completely sober. He then explained his decision to quit Twitter.
“I got off of it,” he confirmed. “I was in Copenhagen and I was by myself at this wonderful restaurant and I was being agitated and I was like, ‘What the hell am I doing?’ I was like, ‘This is over. Get it out of my life.’”
Shep then responded to a question from a fan, who wanted to know what it would take for Paige DeSorbo, 32, to move to Charleston to be with Craig full-time.
“I think [Craig]’s gonna have to move, honestly, and by the way, I think she would love Charleston if she kind of dug her heels in there, but she’s a New York girl.”
“She’s not moving. I agree with you,” Andy Cohen, 56, replied.
