It's been a rather busy for some New Orleans Saints offensive players. In a time of the offseason where many folks are on vacation or just taking time off ahead of training camps, some of the Saints' quarterbacks and wide receivers were putting in some extra work.
Recent throwing sessions for quarterbacks and receivers
According to Nick Underhill, Saints wide receivers worked out in Beaverton this week with quarterbacks Tyler Shough, Jake Haener and Hunter Dekkers. These were throwing sessions, ahead of training camp later in July.
Wideouts Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Brandin Cooks, among others were all in attendance. Cooks organized the session for everyone to create some extra preparation for the 2025 season.

You may be wondering why Spencer Rattler was not in attendance for these sessions. He actually had a fantastic reason for not being able to be a part of them, alongside the other QBs on the roster.
Spencer Rattler hosts annual camp for kids
Rattler hosted his annual camp in Columbia, South Carolina this week. It's the third year that the young quarterback has led the camp, and it means a lot to him - for good reason.

With that, nobody should doubt Rattler's commitment to trying to win the starting QB job for Kellen Moore. If there are more optional throwing sessions this offseason, potentially planned by Brandin Cooks, expect Rattler to be there.
Underhill also noted that Cooks traveled to Arizona to work out with Rattler a couple of weeks ago. There is no lack of effort to get on the same page ahead of the offense's first season under head coach Kellen Moore.

The Saints report to training camp on July 22nd. New Orleans' first training camp practice is Wednesday, July 23 at 9 A.M. CT. It will be open to the public.
