Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell left 'very emotional' as fans 'cry' over Chris McCausland move

Dianne Buswell admitted to being left 'very emotional' as she was seen reuniting with Chris McCausland for only the second time since they won Strictly Come Dancing last year.

Fans will recall that there were emotional but joyous scenes when the professional dancer and comedian were announced as the winners of the hit dance show's 2024 series.

They emerged victorious having faced competition from fellow finalists Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley to lift the famous Glitterball trophy.

Following the end of the show's 2024 run, the emotional new friends went their separate way. Dianne joined her co-stars on the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour.

Meanwhile, Chris headed back to his stand-up tour, Yonks!, which he started before signing up to the hit dance show. However, they continue to be in each other's company virtually thanks to their joint podcast, Winning Isn't Everything.

But, as Dianne tours the country in her own joint-headline show with Strictly pal Vito Coppola, she managed to squeeze in an in-person reunion with Chris as he made a surprise appearance on stage.

Alongside a video of her revealing her special guest to the audience before cheers and applause rang out as she guided him onto the stage, Dianne shared on Instagram: "Last night was so special! Having Chris side of stage made me very emotional.

"I’m so grateful for the friendship and for just everything that this wonderful man taught me. We speak every week on the podcast together but this was the second time we seen each other in the flesh since strictly." She then added: "The question is what dance do you want to see us do again for that launch show?"

In the video, Chris explained he'd been doing some filming in Newport when it was brought to their attention that they'd be in the same place at the same time. Chris also took to the mic and spoke about being 'terrified' to take part in Strictly, but that doing it with Dianne made it 'most remarkable thing' he's 'ever done'.

The moment left fans emotional as they quickly responded to the clip. @lynnemarshall67 said: "So so special dianne, this made me cry,id love to see u do your vienesse waltz again."
