Dianne Buswell has become a household name since joining the cast of Strictly Come Dancing in 2017
Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are in for a treat soon when the beloved ballroom competition returns to our screens.
The show is known for its sharp critiques from judge Craig Revel Horwood, delightful hosting by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, and the suspense of the Sunday night results.
Rumoured celebrity contestants this year include Stacey Solomon, Mo Farah and Tom Parker Bowles. However, it's often the Strictly professionals who steal the limelight, such as the talented Dianne Buswell, who won last year's Glitterball trophy with comedian Chris McCausland.
Dianne joined the Strictly family in 2017 and has since delivered some standout performances alongside her celebrity partners, including her current boyfriend Joe Sugg, with whom she reached the finals in 2018. But what about the Australian dancer's life away from the spotlight?
Let's take a closer look at Dianne's journey to stardom..., reports Wales Online.
So, who exactly is Dianne Buswell?
Dianne is a former Australian Open champion and a four-time finalist in the Amateur Australian Open. She and her brother, Andrew Buswell, were named Western Australian Open Adult New Vogue champions in 2008 and 2010, according to OK!
Her dancing prowess also led her to compete in So You Think You Can Dance Australia. In 2015, she was a professional dancer on the 15th season of Australia's Dancing with the Stars.
In 2017, Dianne made her first appearance on BBC's Strictly, partnering with Reverend Richard Coles, but they were the second pair to leave the competition.
Since then, Dianne has showcased her dance skills alongside various celebrities such as Joe Sugg, DJ Dev Griffin, Max George, Robert Webb, and Tyler West.
Beyond the dance floor, Dianne has also established a significant online presence, launching her YouTube channel in March 2019 and by December, she was recognised as the UK's most-subscribed new YouTuber of that year.
Who is Dianne Buswell dating?
Dianne previously dated Emmerdale star Anthony Quinlan, but after ten months, they briefly split in 2018 and later ended things permanently.
A source revealed to The Sun: "They are quite a fiery pair and have been clashing a bit more than often lately."
The same source added: "There's not bad blood between them but it looks like a reconciliation is off the cards this time."
Anthony opened up about their breakup to the Daily Star, explaining: "We're still really good friends - it's just distance played a part," he said. "There were all these rumours about the Strictly curse but it wasn't that. I'm actually rooting for Joe and Dianne. They're doing absolutely amazing in strictly and I still think the world of the girl. We were really close, it just wasn't meant to be."
In December 2018, Dianne made her romance with Strictly dance partner and internet sensation Joe Sugg official. Joe declared on Instagram: "I may not have won the glitter ball, but I've won something a million times more special."
A year later, the couple decided to move in together, with Joe making the journey to Australia to meet Dianne's family.
Speaking about their future plans after recently buying a stunning home together, the pair said "Never say never," when asked about potential engagement rumours, although Joe added: "It's not in our plans just yet."
