Strictly Come Dancing fans think a professional dancer looks "smitten" with his new partner after he suddenly split with his co-star last year. Fans think he looks super happy
A professional dancer and star of Strictly Come Dancing has been pictured looking "smitten" with his alleged new partner following his shock split last year. Fans were quick to tell Kai Widdrington he looks "so happy" nearly a year after his split from co-star Nadiya Bychkova. On Wenesday (May 7), the couple were pictured enjoying a night out, according to the Strictly pro, and it wasn't long before comments from fans came pouring in. Within the last few weeks, the TV favourite has gone public with his new romance - nine months after he confirmed he had split with his Strictly Come Dancing co-star, Nadiya.
Kai, 29, is rumoured to have started a relationship with executive assistant Chloe Wells recently. Just weeks ago the pair appeared to become "Instagram official", as they shared a joint post together.
At the time, the alleged couple shared a photo of themselves looking cosy while spending some time together. Now they've done it again after dressing up for a night on the town.
While Kai looked smart in a suit and tie, Chloe was effortlessly glam wearing a cream waistcoast, and donning subtle but sharp make-up. Fans were quick to comment, and tell them how great they looked together.
One person said: "You look so smitten." Another wrote: "You look very happy together! I’m so pleased for you. She is a beautiful girl."
A third replied: "Looking contented Kai. Have the best time." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "Beautiful couple. Wishing you all the best."
According to reports, it's said the pair started dating after meeting at a pub in London. Based on the pictures being posted, it looks like their relationship is going from strength to strength.
Recently, a source told the Sun that Kai and Chloe were planning to "go public" and make their first red carpet appearance together. The source claimed the pair "hit it off from the start", and added that office worker Chloe has "no interest in the limelight."
The source said: "They have a real laugh together and, although it's early days, they're planning on moving in together in the coming months."
It's believed this is the first relationship Kai has been in since he split with fellow Strictly pro, Nadiya. The former couple started their journey together back in 2022 while they both took part in the BBC dance show.
However, back last summer, they confirmed they had gone their separate ways. Speaking to the Mirror at the Pride of Britain Awards last year, when asked about the break-up, Nadiya said: "We work together but we are not friends and that's ok. One thing I can tell you is that when you see me dancing with him it will be amazing because I'm a professional."
When they were together, Kai, who joined Strictly in 2021, four years after Nadiya, 35, first appeared, paid tribute to his then-partner. He opened up about her during an interview with Hello magazine, which was published in 2023.
Back then, he said: "She's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, but the real beauty is not just what you see on the outside – it's the person on the inside I fell in love with. People often misjudge her and just see a stunning blonde girl, but she's more than that."
Kai also described Nadiya - who has a daughter, Mila, from a previous relationship - as an "amazing mother". At the time, he added: "She's the kindest person I've ever met in my entire life, and the most amazing mother."
In April, Kai confirmed that he would be returning to Strictly for another series this year. On Instagram, he wrote: "Thrilled to announce that I’m back on @bbcstrictly for my 5th season this year.
"Can’t wait to hit the dance floor again, and create more unforgettable moments with the Strictly family! Let the adventure begin! Keeeeep dancing."
