Strictly’s Chris McCausland EXPOSES Shocking Drama: BBC Star “Kicked Up a Fuss” Behind the Scenes!

Chris McCausland has shared an instance where Dianne Buswell 'kicked up a fuss' during one of their Strictly Come Dancing performances.

The comedian and the professional dancer, who won the 2024 series of the BBC One dance contest, first met in September, weeks before their debut performance in the show's renowned ballroom.

Chris, Strictly's first blind contestant, and Dianne, a show regular since 2017, were overcome with emotion as they hoisted the coveted Glitterball trophy, outshining their fellow finalists.

After their dance journey concluded, the pair went their separate ways, only to confirm weeks later that their partnership was far from over as they reunited for a new podcast.

Their joint venture, titled Winning Isn't Everything, was inspired by Dianne's father Mark's advice when she learned about her partner for her eighth year on the show.

A fresh episode has been released, and for the first time, the duo delve into their initial performance on Strictly. Fans will remember Chris and Dianne's sixties-themed Cha Cha Cha to The Beatles' Twist and Shout, complete with flares, swing dresses and psychedelic vibes, reports the Manchester Evening News.

In the recent episode of the podcast, Chris dropped a revelation: "Originally we weren't going to do the Cha Cha Cha, They wanted us doing something else..." Dianne quickly set the record straight: "We were always going to do the Cha Cha Cha, Chris but we weren't going to be doing that song."

Confused, Chris asked which song it was before Dianne 'kicked up a fuss'. Dianne confessed: "I did, I thought, 'Oh God here we go. The first dance and she's kicking up a fuss already,'" before revealing they were initially set to dance to Loco in Acapulco by The Four Tops.

This insight stirred fans' curiosity about how the performance might have differed. One person said: "Did anyone immediately go to re-watch the cha cha cha after this podcast and watched it in a slightly different way after this week's inside info from the studio and rehearsal room."

Someone else said: "Yes, I did. I re-watch them all often, but after this, I had to check it out again. I feel it could be a weekly thing."

Another commented "I loved the podcast as I always do. You both make me howl with laughter each and every episode. Well done @diannebuswell for sticking to your guns and getting that first dance changed to Twist and Shout. Oco Poco, just wouldn't have been the same."
