Strictly’s Pete Wicks Dodges Ex Maura Higgins at BRITs Afterparty – Here's the Real Reason Why!

During his time on Strictly Come Dancing, Pete Wicks had fans gushing as his romance with reality star Maura Higgins made headlines. As he continued to impress judges on the dancefloor, the 34-year-old entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle and made a candid admission about their blossoming relationship and admitted she was missing him.

However, their whirlwind romance was shortlived after reports emerged that the couple had parted ways after “a few clashes.” It seems that the former lovers aren’t interested in remaining friends, as Pete is said to have left a party early to avoid an awkward reunion.

On Saturday (March 1), Pete and Maura were among the biggest names in showbiz to attend the 2025 BRIT Awards.

Although the Towie star was joined by his co-star and pal Olivia Attwood, he was reportedly seated just feet away from his ex during the ceremony.

Maura, who attended solo, was forced to sit directly opposite Pete’s table, which also seated his pal Sam Thompson and other friends. While they managed to avoid a run-in at the annual event, an insider claimed the pair also ended up going to the same afterparty.

According to a source via The Mirror, Maura partied until the end at Universal's post-BRITs bash, while Pete didn't hang around.

They told the outlet: “Pete and Maura were both at the afterparty but were very separate. Pete was there fleetingly at the beginning, but Maura was there until the end at 2am-ish.

"She was partying with I'm A Celebrity pals Danny Jones and Oti Mabuse. She was having a good time with TikTok star Luke Hamnett." The insider added that Pete "stayed with Olivia Attwood the whole night and left pretty early,”

The 37-year-old reportedly left the afterparty and bundled into a taxi with Sam and Olivia, who is said to have clashed with Maura last year after a bitter feud, explaining why the pair didn't spend much time together.

According to the MailOnline, Olivia accused the Love Island star of using the "same script" that earned her success, including her reasons for entering the ITV2 dating show and signing with the same PR company.
