There may be someone new joining the cast of Summer House!
Lindsay Hubbard and West Wilson recently appeared on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show.
During the interview, the two shared the unexpected story of how they first met, while Lindsay reflected on mom life, and West teased a potential new cast member.
“West, for you, are you in a place now that you’re a handful of seasons under your belt, that you’re like, ‘Hey, I’ve got a bro production who you should meet, I want to bring him into the house,’ or have you not made your way into that echelon yet because I feel like you’re a man around town,” the host asked.
“Yeah, I probably tried to get in my friends before I was even on the show and I also, like every party we have, I usually have a good hefty showing of like the boys showing up, and so, yeah,” West said.
“Wait, do you, blink twice If you have somebody coming on the show this season,” the host then said.
“One of the boys, maybe,” West teased.
The two also discussed how they met.
“Have you heard the story? I can be fast,” West explained, saying they first met at the club.
“We had a couple drinks and somehow started talking about, well, not like we’re the first people to ever get drunk and talk about making a podcast, but we came with a podcast idea. So unoriginal, and then Lindsay goes, because I worked at Bleacher Report at the time, she was like, ‘If you steal this and take it to Bleacher Report, I’ll f–k you up,’ and she made me sign a bar napkin at the bar and she wrote like, I put a space for my name and then said like, ‘Won’t take Lindsay‘s podcast idea to Bleacher Report whatever,’ and then like had me sign my name. We probably took a blood oath, but after now knowing Lindsay, it’s the most insane meet story ever. Literally signed a bar napkin contract day we met.”
“Okay, so I made him sign a contract the very first time we ever met, and then I didn’t talk to him for a year. Literally, I went on with my life, you know, doing whatever I was doing, planning a wedding, engaged to Carl, blah, blah, blah, and then like casting came around for season, what season was your first season? Two seasons ago,” Lindsay went on, as West answered, “Eight.”
“Season eight. Last season? No, wait, that was nine. Yeah, so season eight. You know, they start casting for season eight and I was like, ‘Wait, I have this guy.’ Meanwhile I have not spoken to him in a year. I said that night that I made him sign a contract with me and I submitted him to casting. They wind up reaching out and he then reached out to me and he was like, ‘Is there something you want to tell me?’ ’cause I completely forgot to tell him,” she went on to explain.
