Currently recovering from an extremely public breakup with her ex-boyfriend, Southern Charm star Craig Conover, it is safe to say that Summer House star and Giggly Squad podcast host Paige DeSorbo is doing some major healing and self-discovery before delving into another serious relationship.
For those who need a refresher, after months of flirtatiousness — some of which we saw during the Summer House spin-off, Winter House — DeSorbo and Conover finally confirmed their relationship in September 2021. Things seemed to be smooth sailing between the duo, up until their unexpected split in November 2024 due to "growing in different directions."
While Conover moved on rather quickly — dating model Natalie Buffett as of March 2025 — DeSorbo admitted to Us Weekly in an exclusive interview that she "hasn't been really dating” anyone, prioritizing her therapy sessions instead.
The most shocking thing to come from DeSorbo's therapy sessions is some reflection regarding her past partners. After discussing her love life, her therapist explained that she only dates men who pursue her first — never picking out her boyfriend herself — and the revelation "was literally like getting hit in the face with a brick." The New York native continued, "I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I don’t think the girls know this, that we’re not picking our boyfriends.’"
Now, she is ready to choose a man for herself, admitting that she's looking for qualities in her future partner that vary from Conover. “I don’t care if he can go out and stay out and hang out with my friends. I’d actually prefer if he didn’t want to do that,” she said, referencing some traits she valued in the past. "I’m just looking for someone that meshes easily with my life, and being a reality TV person isn’t the easiest thing," she elaborated.
All in all, DeSorbo wants someone who's a “nice person” and loves his mom. How sweet is that?
Nevertheless, the 32-year-old is in no rush to find a new partner, admitting that she's “excited” for a single girl summer.
“I haven’t been single for a summer in a while, but I’m also excited too because I’ve never been single in my 30s, and I feel like it is just drastically different than your 20s... Socializing single is very different in your 30s, but it’s very chic. It’s like, ‘Sorry, I have a business dinner. Can’t come on a date.’ I love saying that," DeSorbo spilled, and we are anxiously awaiting the chance to see her dating endeavors in the Hamptons on the next season of Summer House.
In the meantime, Summer House season 9 is airing as we speak. To see for yourself, catch all available episodes via Peacock, as well as future episodes via Bravo.
