Lindsay Hubbard lives her life in the public eye, but her baby daughter, Gemma, will remain private—for now.
Eight months after welcoming a baby girl with her former boyfriend, Turner Kufe, the ”Summer House” star revealed that she plans to respect her ex’s wishes about keeping their daughter’s face off of social media.
Speaking on the “Balancing Act” podcast in August 2025, Hubbard explained her predicament. “Dad’s private, mom’s public, what does that make baby?” she said. “And it’s been a very long journey, a lot of conversations. But to me, I have to pick and choose my battles in life. And it’s just not one that I feel like fighting him on.”
Lindsay Hubbard Wants to Show Off Her Baby
Hubbard frequently posts photos of Gemma on her Instagram page, but she always carefully covers her daughter’s face to comply with Kufe’s wishes.
“I’m very proud of my daughter,” the Bravo TV personality said on the podcast. “I’m excited. She’s my baby, I created her, my body created her, my organs created her. She lived inside of me for 10 f***ing months. I love this girl. I wanna show her off. And, it’s just been a long process, but it’s just not a fight I feel like fighting.”
In March, Hubbard told The Daily Dish that she really wanted to go “official” with baby Gemma on social media. “I’m trying to figure out how to be IG official with my daughter,” she said. “First and foremost, I’m having those conversations more so than the other guy. I’m like, ‘Can I please post my daughter?'”
Lindsay Hubbard Remains Friends With Turner Kufe
Hubbard never showed Kufe’s face when they were a couple. She repeatedly said the biotech investor’s job in the finance industry made it imperative that he was kept private.
“It’s challenging, for sure, you know, to navigate that,” she told Life & Style in May. “I think it’s hard because I am a public figure. I’ve been on TV for more than a decade. So it is challenging being with somebody private. I never thought that I would be in a relationship with somebody this private.”
During the “Summer House” season 9 reunion, which aired in June, Hubbard revealed that she and Kufe had put their romance on “pause” to focus on raising their daughter as co-parents.
“We are the best of friends,” she said at the time, per E! News. “Even on the weekends when we don’t have our nanny and it’s just the two of us tag-teaming being parents, we’re out to brunch, we’re going to visit friends.”
Two months later, she told “Balancing Act” hosts Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick that she is still “not dating” Kufe. “We’re really good friends, which I don’t know how I learned how to compartmentalize a lot of feelings since having a kid,” she said. “We are great co-parents. He’s a phenomenal father, very present, active, involved, obsessed as much as me, and we do communicate very well.”
“Do we have disagreements?” the “Summer House” star added. “Yes, we do. Are we different in our lifestyles? Yes, we are. But it is something that we have figured out.”
